The magic of Christmas in Ennis was alive at the Turning on of the Christmas Lights on Friday 23rd November!
Children and parents filled the square to welcome Santa to the town as he arrived by Fire Engine. Choirs sang and entertainment didn’t disappoint as the excitement began to build for the turning on of the Christmas Lights. Snow flurries fell around the twinkling 40ft tree to top off a truly festive event.
This is just the first of many Christmas events in Ennis this year. The streets will be alive with shopping and music from 14th December with pedestrianisation of main streets from midday to 6.00pm on Saturday 15 December, Sunday 16 December, Friday 21 December, Saturday 22 December, Sunday 23 December and on Monday 24th December.
The “Christmas Express” train will be running throughout the town on Wednesday 19th December to Saturday 22 December inclusive.
Ennis Christmas Market will bring the sights, sounds and smells of the festive season to the Market Building on Friday 21 December (3.00pm to 7.00pm) and Saturday 22 December (10.00am to 4.00pm). Traders will be showcasing a variety of locally produced gifts and produce, which would make an ideal Christmas gift, or last minute stocking filler.
This season will be made magical for Christmas in Ennis 2018!
